Dennis J. Danish, 69, of Natrona Heights, PA passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 in the emergency room at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.
Dennis was born on Friday, February 14, 1947 to the late Joseph A. and Cecilia (Timko) Danish. Dennis lived his entire life in the Natrona Heights area, where he would frequently be seen walking all over town. He graduated from the former Riverview High School, Natrona Heights and went to work as a custodian for 44 years before his retirement in 2009 at the Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights, where he was also a member. Additionally, Dennis was a member of the Slovak Club of Creighton, Highlands Area Rotary Club, Sons of the American Legion of Brackenridge, Combo bowling league, and Meals on Wheels. He thoroughly enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, yard work, traveling, helping at Thursday Legion bingos, and especially spending time with his family.
Dennis leaves behind to cherish his memory his siblings: Barbara Joworski of FL, Christine M. Danish of Palos Hills, IL, Mary Jo (late Terry) Calligan of Natrona Heights, Joseph A. (Donna) Danish of FL, and Francine (Matthew) Hazlett of Austin, TX; his nieces and nephews: Ian (Katherine) Calligan of Mt. Holly, NC, Natalie (Tyler) Gourley of Freeport, Eliott (Nhi) Calligan of Natrona Heights, Mike and Nick Danish, and Christopher and Leanne Hazlett; and his two great nieces whom he doted on: Evelyn Gourley and Hannah Calligan.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his sister, Carol F. Danish.
Family and friends are invited from 7-9 PM on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 and 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, December 1, 2016 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730) where parting prayer services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, December 2, 2016. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 am in the Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. John Lendvai as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt.
