Sandra H. (Hudgins) Demharter

Sandra “Sandy” H. (Hudgins) Demharter, 74, of Natrona Heights, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 29, 2024 with her family by her side.  Sandra was born on Saturday, July 2, 1949 in Richmond, VA to the late Hezekiah and Dora (Foster) Hudgins.

Sandy graduated from the Kecoughtan High School Class of 1967 in Hampton, VA and attended the University of South Carolina before marrying her husband Paul and staying home to raise their two sons.  She was deeply involved in her boys’ lives and dedicated to all of their school, sporting, and Boy Scout activities.  Sandy also served as President of the Highlands Band Boosters and was a proud Brackenridge Heights Country Club Swim Team mom.  She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Sons and Daughters of the Pearl Harbor Survivors, Inc.  Sandy loved all of her dogs and enjoyed most spending time with her family, especially being “Grammy” to her granddaughters. 

Sandra is survived by her husband of 52 years: Paul Demharter; her sons: Scott Demharter of Norfolk, VA and Joel Demharter of Natrona Heights; and her 2 granddaughters: Kaylee and Tessa Demharter.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to all of Sandy’s nurses at Allegheny Health Network, especially Karen, Melissa, Paula, Laura, and Christine. 

A private viewing was held on Friday February 2, 2024 at the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730) with the Rev.
