Mary Grace (Haddad) Howrelook

Mary Grace (Haddad) Howrelook, 91, of New Kensington, went home to her Lord Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023. Mary was born Sunday, Jan. 10, 1932, in New Kensington, to the late Chahoud and Jamily Haddad. She worked as a business administrator for the New Kensington-Arnold School District, retiring after 25 years of service. Prior to working there, she was also employed at the WearEver division of ALCOA. Mary was a lifelong member of the United Presbyterian Church of New Kensington, where she was a deacon, helped with the newsletter, mercy meals and was part of the Care Group. She also was a member of the YMCA of New Kensington, the New Kensington Senior Citizens Center and the Show Me the Money Investment Club. Mary had three grandchildren who were the center of her love. She never missed a swim meet, play, piano recital, organ recital, concert, football game or any other activity that they were involved in. She loved family get-togethers with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren, as well as her siblings and their families. Memories were made around the Syrian picnics, Woodloch Pines in the Poconos and especially the yearly vacations to Ogunquit, Maine, with her sister, Sarah, daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Rev. Paul) Roberts; three grandchildren, Jeremy Roberts, Dr. Nicole Roberts and Philip (Christin) Roberts Esq.; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Dalia Roberts, a brother, Sam (Connie) Haddad, of New Jersey; her sisters-in-law, Carol Haddad, of New Jersey, and Olga Howrelook, of New Kensington; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years, Frank Howrelook (2001); her beloved son, John Howrelook; and her loving siblings, Sarah Haddad, Dr. James Haddad and Charlie Haddad.

Family and friends are invited from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at the CHURCHFIELD-PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 501 Fifth Ave., New Kensington, PA 15068. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, in United Presbyterian Church, 601 Fifth Ave., New Kensington, PA 15068. Officiating will be her son-in-law, the Rev. Paul Roberts, assisted by the Rev. Aaron Teter.
