James R. Mortimer, Jr., 73, of Natrona Heights, PA, passed away peacefully at the Butler VA Health System on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Jim was born on Tuesday, August 8, 1950 in Natrona Heights, PA to the late James R. and Juia A. Puskarich Mortimer, Sr.
Jim was a graduate of East Deer High School and Indiana University. He was a veteran serving in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked as a guard at a recycling plant and enjoyed making model cars and playing his guitar and listening to music.
Jim is survived by his siblings: Diane (Roger) Chilton of Buffalo Township, PA, Elaine Sharp of Kansas and Dennis E. Mortimer of Harrison Township, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
As per Jim’s wishes there will be no public viewing. His cremains will be buried at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
