Therese “Terry” M. Waldschmidt, of Freeport, PA, went to be with her beloved husband Harry on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, PA.

Terry was born on Friday, November 10, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late William and Sue (Chiato) Belsito.  She worked at the HJ Heinz Company before raising her family.  Later in life she worked as a manager at the tee shirt factory of Trau & Loevner.  Most of her working days were spent as a devoted Nanny for families in the Fox Chapel area.  Affectionately known as “WaWa”, Terry was a beloved member of the Harvest Community Church – Freeport Campus where she was a prayer warrior, serving others wherever she could.  She loved cards, leading exercise classes at the Freeport High Rise Towers, dancing and traveling with her late husband, and spending time with her family and friends.  Terry was known for her strong faith, delicious cooking, and ability to make you laugh and feel loved.

Terry is survived by her 4 children: Barry Waldschmidt, Gary (Betsy) Waldschmidt, Suzy (Byron) Chertik, and Larry Waldschmidt; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bill (Annette) Belsito.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Waldschmidt, III on April 2, 2010, and her brother, Rocco Belsito. 

Friends are invited from 2-4 and 6-8 on Monday, February 22 to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 (724-224-7730).  Services will be held at the Harvest Community Church – Freeport Campus, 407 Freeport Road, Freeport, PA 16229 (724) 548-5643 on Tuesday, February 23 at 11:00 AM with the Pastor Michael Harvey presiding (everyone is asked to meet at the church).  Burial will be private.
