George E. “Buck” Burgly, 82, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at his home.

He was born Sunday, June 30, 1934 in New Kensington to the late George A. and Dorothy (Trefrey) Burgly.  Buck graduated from New Kensington High School class of 1952 and the University of Maryland class of 1956.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired as a Major from the United States Air Force Reserve on December 14, 1979. 

Buck owned and operated his own business, Burgly Gas and Oil, and was also the former owner of the previous West Penn Airport.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and especially enjoyed flying and the outdoors. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 26 years, Marlene Pfeil Burgly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Roberta Kain Burgly, and his siblings, Patrick Burgly and Florence Ann Sargent.
