Dorothy A. (Peck) Helgert, 90, of Buffalo Twp., PA, died on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, PA.   

Dorothy was born in Natrona Heights on Saturday, November 6, 1926 to the late Frederick and Mercedes McConville Peck.  She was a 1945 graduate of Har-Brack High School. She was a homemaker most of her life but had worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in the 1950’s.  She was a member of the Center United Methodist Church in Fawn Township. 

Dorothy is survived by her son, Dr. Curtis D. (Wendy) Helgert of Meadville, PA and her 4 grandchildren: Nathan (Ali) Helgert, Jessica Helgert, Greg Sykes and Trista (Fred) Hintz.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine D. Helgert on September 30, 1985. 

Family and friends are invited from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the  ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, PA (724-224-7730)  where services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 22, 2016 with the Rev.
