Bernice M. (Lammay) Shields, 91, of Natrona, PA, died on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at West Haven Nursing Home, Apollo, PA.   

Bernice was born on Friday, September 4, 1925 in Natrona, PA to the late Russell and Amelia (Rettig) Lammay.  Bernice graduated from Har-Brack High School and later dedicated her time to raising her children.  She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary Natrona Fire Department and she greatly enjoyed reading, visiting neighbors, crossword puzzles, watching TV, and playing bingo. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Kimberly (Dan) Brown of Natrona, her grandson, Jayson Tyler (Nicole) Brown, and two great-grandchildren, Isiacc Lucas and Ella Grace Brown. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Raymond D. “Red” Shields on January 18, 1998, her son, Russell C. Shields on November 15, 2010, and her sister, Louise Gneiting.
